We're finally back from Paris and ready to post some pictures of the trip. We had a great time and wish we could have spent more time in Paris, but at the same time we're glad to be back in London.
After arriving we visited the Opera Garnier, most famous for being the setting where The Phantom of the Opera takes place. There was some rather interesting modern art out front, consisting of brightly colored cows engaged in very un-cowlike behaviour. (i.e. riding a bike)

Of course in Paris you have to visit the eiffel tower. Here is a picture of us from the tower looking out over the river Seine.

And here is a picture taken from the top of the tower. Unfortunately the city is a bit blurry in this picture, but in all fairness to our photographer, we were quite high up.

And here's a pic of us in front of the tower later at night when the tower was lit. We had to wait pretty late for this picture, as Paris is pretty far north and this time of year it doesn't get completely dark until after 10:00 PM!

The next day we took a boat tour along the rive Seine. Here's a pretty picture looking out the boat window to the shore.

We also visited the Palace at Versaille. The gardens there were our favorite part of the trip to Paris. Here is a nice picture of us overlooking the fruit trees. Notice how they're all in large crates and not planted in the ground. That's so they can be taken inside during the winter as the citrus trees would freeze in the french winters.

Here is us in front of one of the most famous fountains in the gardens. The humans claim that it depicts the people of a town being punished by being turned into frogs by the god Jupiter for persecuting a woman who had gained his favor. We frogs know that in reality the people were being rewarded for driving out the evil woman who was planning to betray Jupiter.

And finally, here are a couple pictures from the Arc De Triomphe.

Much more exciting though was the fair maiden we met at the top of the Arc, shown here kissing a very lucky frog. Sadly, he didn't turn into a prince but maybe next time.
